Description
The Premaore Winery was created on May 7, 1959 in Premaore by about forty winegrowers. The inauguration took place on 1st May 1966. Nowadays the conferring members are about two hundred and twenty, located in the nearby villages: Camponogara, Campolongo Maggiore, Campagna Lupia, Fossò, Vigonovo, Fiesso d'Artico and Saonara. The birth of this cooperative reality has guaranteed, over the years, a commercial opportunity for wine-growers, thanks to the whole production being sold in its own retail outlets. The Cooperative currently receives from its members about 45,000,000 kilos of Merlot, Cabernet, Raboso, Pinot Bianco, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Verduzzo grapes. The total capacity of enchantment is about sixty-five thousand hectolitres. The Premaore Winery was merged into Vi.V.O. Cantine s.a.c. on 16 April 2020.
The Winery has been always engaged in reducing the impact on environment and community. Besides being BIO-certified, the establishment has taken since 2019 gradual improvement actions in terms of sustainability by adopting the VIVA standard (Ministery of Ecological Transition).
Until now the focus was put on saving-policies and optimization strategies of water and energy resources as well as on specific environmental and social criteria in the selection of suppliers.
